Lyn Cain 2010 |
The Lyn Cain Netball Tournament for 2010 is now fully subscribed. However please accept this invitation to watch some fantastic netball at this fabulous tournament held at King Edward VI High School for Girls, Edgbaston on Sunday 12th September 2010, 10.30am - 4.00pm. 24 teams from around the Country will be competing in this popular tournament held in memory of Lyn Cain, former member of Bournville & Rover Netball Clubs, who tragically died shortly after her 39th birthday. This fundraising tournament is now in its 16th year and for the next 3 years the proceeds will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust, who currently have 3 projects in this area - Birmingham Children's Hospital where they have built a new unit, Royal Orthopaedic - where they have a new development of an existing unit and a future project at the QE. So join in the fun, bring a picnic, watch some great netball and help raise money for such a worthy cause! The semi finals and final matches are held between 2 and 4 pm preceeded by the much anticipated raffle draw. The Lyn Cain Raffle always offers many prizes that are donated by sponsors and members of Birmingham Netball Community; if you wish to contribute a prize please contact Lynne Todd, Bournville Chairman (lynne-dot-todd-at-wlsolutions-dot-com).
