This year's tournament was held on Sunday 17 th September. Despite dire weather warnings from the BBC, the sun shone down on us once again as it always does resulting in a great days netball and fundraising. This year, the trophy was won by Elmdon, beating BAI in the final.

The Lyn Cain Plate was won by Sparkhill, who triumphed against Networkers.

Also this year was a special award, “The Joan Annie Lacey Trophy” for the player of the tournament as voted for by umpires. The first winner of this trophy was Lucy Hobbs of Godiva.

As a result of the excellent support we receive every year we were delighted to raise an amazing £3,200 for MacMillan Cancer bringing our total fundraising through the Lyn Cain Trophy since 1995 to £32,250. A fantastic achievement!

In addition this year through the Joan Annie Lacey Fund an additional £1,400 was raised, which will go to support Children with Cancer on a trip to EuroDisney.

Lyn's parents, Derek and Moira were again there to support the day presenting the trophies and the cheque to Steve Dourass, Fundraising Manager for MacMillan.
